Living below your PRIVELEGE!

Whew! What’s up good people!

A few weeks ago, I stumbled upon a clip of a young lady speaking about Privilege . She made a bold statement that has had me in a chokehold for days now. She asked the audience a question , “ Why are you still living below your Privilege” It’s like you don’t realize how much access to everything you want , you have.

In the corporate world we spend countless hours in the huddle , you know the huddle , the meeting after the meeting talking amongst peers about just how privileged others at the company “feel” they are or are “ treated” in many situations. Some of the conversations lead to animosity for some , defeat for others and motivation for most to continue to be exempt , to remain chosen and in some cases a quest to prove just how much better you are than even the privileged amongst us.  

And ever since I heard the woman on the stage ask the question …… I started to assess my own privilege and access ; I attached myself to both the Privilege I know and see and the privilege I have NOT yet to walk in and experience but something within me is more confident than ever that I HAVE IT and there is absolutely NO turning back for me!

That’s the energy I want each of you to begin to take inventory of this week.

Ask yourself why you keep living below your own privilege, yet you call yourself a child of the highest?

Ask yourself why you would rather suffer in silence than ASK for the help knowing that your ASK is small for those around you because you are Privileged!  

That crazy family and those successful friends = your privilege as well.  People around you have what you need!

Ask yourself again , what areas do I live below my privilege the most?

Is it on the job? At home? In the marketplace? Amongst people you “ view” as better than you?

Ooh or my favorite, does it show up in how you use and showcase your own gifts? You celebrate , cheer and see it in others YET you have not even scratched the surface with your own. ( Just keep reading , I promise this thing ATE me up too)

Can we walk this thing out together for the next few weeks? As this year comes to a close , like hand and hand , restoring our own magic through both obedience and transparency!

 How about with less EGO and Pride, but with more CONFIDENCE in what you know about your own Privilege. YOU GOT IT

It may not feel like it but if you take inventory, you will realize that there have been ways made for you before …. There has been an abundance of doors and opportunities before …and many times NOT by anything you said or did but simply because of who you are and whose you are.

Be encouraged this week knowing YOU have ACCESS and PRIVELEGE!

Believe it , walk in it and watch the rest of your days be the best of your days!

No more living below your own privileged.
