Relentless Pursuit

I remember when the Pursuit of Happiness Movie with Will smith came out it was a complete tearjerker. Every barrier to success you could name was being thrown his way. He had a child to support, he was homeless, but he fought and was able to show up for himself and his child daily even with tears in his eyes. That’s a sign that one has decided to be Relentless is in their pursuit. See some people will pursue things with half of the energy needed to see a thing through expecting to reap the full benefits. Unfortunately, that’s not how it works.

If you recall in the movie, he created a routine …… he was consistent …. he was committed but most importantly even when he was hit with hard stops, No’s and more you could always tell that his belief in his abilities was a driver, his dedication to showing his son something different was visible and in turn it paid off. I want to speak to folks today ready and willing to be relentless in pursuit of their destiny or dream. The ones who have decided that they are crazy enough to believe that what they are pursuing is worth giving it their all. This may not be for those who have yet to make that kind of commitment but for those who are looking to launch into deeper waters, those who seek to thrive with more intention and who have their eyes set on something HUGE all while ready to give it all YOU GOT, I want to remind you that what you are doing is what it takes. There will be many people who will attempt to tell you “It don’t take ALL of that”, there will also be some that will think you are wasting your time or its not your lane ….

Don’t buy into that! Don’t let it sway you and for all that you believe don’t YOU SETTLE for something that only gives you an ounce of your high value pursuit. This thing may even feel like it’s depleting you …. Listen closely, sometimes you have to come close to running out of gas before you can see the value of your once full tank and to understand why GOD had to use it ALL to get you where you were headed!!

Some people look at being relentless with a negative view like they will do anything. Not Me, because I see relentless coupled with eyes of my faith and belief system and that focuses more on I can do ANYTHING ( not I will) . I also look at being relentless as the art and magic in someone who is determined to do something and refuses to give up.

As we approach the summer season, pandemic shifts and overall life transitions, I charge you to continue to be relentless on your pursuit. Stay consistent, Get committed and discipline and show up every single day! I repeat DO NOT GIVE UP, it is NOT TOO BIG of an ASK, IT is NOT a NO because it’s taking so long and to really give that thing (Your dream, relationship, business, family, art, side-hustle) whatever it is your ALL …and watch as you begin to be filled with the reaping of the time, energy and more that you have sown. IT is …. IT will…. all work out for your GOOD.
