I will NOT be anxious....

Updated: Jul 31

Be anxious for nothing .... an abbreviated version. (Philippians 4:6-7)

That's what I tell myself daily when I begin to get overwhelmed with the happenings of this world and my personal world alike.

I found myself having one of those moments yesterday.... where I honestly had to take a few steps back from ALL the noise and be still.

The past few days have been full and the days ahead will be also, but through it all I must keep reminding myself there is absolutely NO reason to be anxious.

Things will work out.

The pieces of the puzzle will fit, in due time.

And that is what I want to remind each of you today as well.

Be Anxious for nothing ...

Depending on how I say it , my tone, passion and delivery , it can easily be interpreted many different ways.

Be anxious for nothing (meaning be anxious for nothing not a person, place or thing)

Be anxious for NOTHING (STOP being anxious for nothing, no reason at all) same words two different interpretations at any given time with the same powerful meaning overall Don't be anxious!

I have learned that lack of clarity and confusion triggers anxiety the most for me.

Not having all the rules and regulations and being expected to play the game is crazy work.

Imagine if none of the NBA players knew the rules but they were asked to play a quick tournament in unfamiliar territory. These guys know how to play basketball, but they don't know what the rules are for this particular game. I can imagine each of them would become slightly anxious simply because they don't know the rules to the game in this new territory. Every player’s default would be to play the game they know because that is within their control.

A good player knows that no matter the game, they are charged with playing their own game to the best of their ability with what they do know and what they have in their hands at the given moment.

Do you know the same goes for you?

You are not charged to do and be anything but the best you can be with what you have in any given situation. You cannot give what you do not have.

Anxiety has the power to rob you of moments where you are meant to SHINE if you allow it. The key is to simply PLAY THE GAME to WIN and to win only, despite the unknowns and uncertainty.

Be confident in what you know and what you do not!

Be present with how you feel and don't linger in spaces that are not good for your nervous system long!

If you don't know the rules and knowing the rules will help you perform well, get clarity or get out the game!

You control what you can control... and release what you cannot.

Don't be ANXIOUS for nothing!!

Let today be the reminder to us all, that we can experience peace even during life's storms.

The past is gone, the present is NOW, and the future awaits!!

With Love,

RR-
