Happy New Year: New Posture

Updated: Jan 18

For years I’ve leaned into the mantra of moving in silence, if you know you know (IYKYK) and honestly, I like it there and That’s my business. (In my Tabitha Brown Voice) My 2023 ended in an unexpected, answered prayer and GOD has been continuing to blow my mind the past 17 days of the new year in so many ways. As I begin to walk in this new normal and people begin to ask questions, interject comments or opinions I realize how important it is for me personally to keep my motto not just for the sake of maintaining privacy but for the sake of protecting the promise. There are some things you will encounter this new year that are going to require you to maintain a different posture and that posture may not look like anything you have ever seen and not everyone around you will understand it.

While you have never seen it ….

While they (People; Family/Friends/Colleague) won’t understand it ….

Respect the differences and use discernment in ALL your dealings but most importantly be OK with it.

Don’t be afraid of walking differently, sharing differently and LIVING differently! But be mindful everybody is not entitled to the details of the promise, that’s between you and your promise keeper so don’t feel like you must do what other’s think you should do because of how they move or how they would move if they were you! (Not sure who needed the reminder but apparently it had to be said today-)

2024 entry …. 😊

When we embark upon new chapters, like the year 2024 people start off excited, encouraged with a list of GOALS and SUPERPOWERS to show the world and others what they can do.  I want to challenge each person reading this first entry of the year to take a more personal approach don’t do it for them DO IT FOR YOU.  Go back to the vision you have always seen for your life and sit with it, once you get that vision in your mind ask yourself what I am doing right now, already in this present moment that will get me to the place that I see in the center of my heart. If what you are doing is not in alignment , change it , if what you have been doing is in  alignment but you need to be more consistent , more disciplined to yield a better outcome then I urge you to treat this new year like an opportunity to do just that , something new! Push yourself to silence the noise and negative self-talk about and watch what happens when you get out of your own way!

Some days it may feel like you are starting over ….and that may be true at times (Songwriter once said, dust yourself off and try again 😊)

Some days you may even get discouraged but every day I challenge you to show up for yourself!

Showing up for yourself and what you believe is the most important part of the journey. It’s not the people, it’s not even the impact, it’s your ability to take care of YOU for YOU first that the real gifts get to shine!

4 reminders that helped me over the past few months that I am confident will get you together in this season as well!!

1)      Do it for YOU and GOD alone. Many people are searching for accolades and pedestals, they want to be the best for others to see, meanwhile I have found wealth on the journey to be the BEST of me, and as I result, I continue to be blessed with the unsolicited accolades and opportunities.  You don’t have to force it; you just have to BE IT!!

2)      Get you some CBD (Commitment, Boundaries, Discipline 😊) Find peace within by putting tools in place to protect you, the promise and get you closer to your dreams.  I promise this is the only high you need (Pun intended) Stay Committed, Establish Boundaries and Get disciplined, the results and healthy relationships will follow!

3)      Release your EGO- Ego X Pride = Poor, it will keep you poor in health, poor in business and partnerships, poor in finances and poor at heart. Remember you have NOT always been where you are now, and you won’t always be there either. Reduce this posture so the real can rise. Be open to learning new things and to not always being in control (It’s not always about YOU but it’s about YOU if you get what I’m saying)

4)      Get 1 good friend/Accountability partner/Business Buddy/Lifer, not one who agrees with everything, not even one who laughs at all your jokes GET a truth teller.  One who will hold you accountable and remind you of the promise you made to yourself and those you love. One who supports without conditions …. I will say that again, ONE WHO SUPPORTS without conditions.  We place so much emphasis on loving without conditions but so much love resides on the one who has learned the power of support.

Bonus Tip:  Be patient with yourself no matter where you are on your journey!! New Year, New You still has some old habits to kick before the CBD and things Kick -In, give yourself the grace and patience you so freely give everyone else, you deserve it too!!

Ps. THIS IS THE YEAR! Whatever came to mind , that’s what time it is 😊

Let’s GO!

Be Encouraged,

R.Rene’
