Family!!! Can u believe we are just 2 days away from a NEW YEAR!!!
I really don’t have the words to describe how I feel about how 2024 and this brief appearance it made .
I feel like we just started, it was just January , I mean May, I mean August and now December 29, 2024.
October – December honestly gets a bit blurry. That’s how nonstop it was for many of us. We blinked and it was Christmas and now we WAIT for the days of December to end and the bell to ring into a new year , a new white house administration and for some a new LIFE.
As I pause from my own reflection and moment of reset, I want to encourage you all to take some time the remainder of this year for YOU. Be it Sunday , after work Monday or the very last day of the year , do something that brings you JOY and that will give you the moment of stillness to rest in the gratitude of survival.
Despite what has happened and what is to come , we have survived thus far and that my friends is a reason to celebrate.
As you celebrate think of the wins and the lessons.
What did you learn? More importantly , what did you learn about YOURSELF?
Exercise: Take a few moments and think about it , write it down and reflect on how to use all that you have learned for your GOOD next year.
NOT for the GOOD of others but for your own GOOD!
I say for your own GOOD because if you are anything like me you do a lot in the NAME of ensuring others are GOOD forgetting about yourself like an afterthought and let me be the first to remind you , YOU my friend are NOT afterthought . You are the primary person , sole beneficiary that should benefit from the hard work and sacrifice.
I urge you to take up space in this area in the days to come....
Be reminded of your own strength this last Sunday of 2024.
Be reminded of your own dreams and desires.
Be reminded of your own survival and victorious comebacks!
Be reminded of your own growth and GRACE that has abound the past 12 months.
Be reminded that just because you can does not mean you should!
Be reminded that THIS TOO SHALL PASS ...whatever THIS IS TO YOU.
Be reminded that LOVE can stand on its own two feet when its real.
Be reminded that your story is your story, and your journey is your journey!
Be reminded that everybody ain’t hating some people are simply telling you the TRUTH.
Be reminded that there is NOTHING that is yours that will miss YOU!
Be reminded that going High when they go LOW is always a good choice .
Be reminded that everything you think does NOT have to be said and lastly be reminded that YOUR WAY, YOUR OLD WAY is not the only way, there is beauty in new routes!
Be reminded that you are 1 of 1 ….
All of the above I have said at least once or twice throughout the year , I pray you carry something with you that will reconnect you with JOY , PEACE, and Productivity!!
I love you all with my whole-heart!! Excited about our future as a community!
